summer 2025 July 24 - August 1 (the final days of summer break)

Thursday, July 24 - KW and I drove to Lexington, KY to meet up with JH and SF.  Then the four of us headed to Wyndham Margaritaville, Atlanta, GA.  Enjoyed a nice evening around Centennial Park.

Friday, July 25 - G got his learner's permit today!  I played disc golf with KW, JH, and SF at Perkerson Park, Atlanta.  Beautiful wooded course among mature hardwood trees in downtown ATL.  We went to the pool in the afternoon and then to the Variety Playhouse to see Todd Snider.

Saturday and Sunday, July 26 & 27 - We played disc golf at Perkerson Park again then drove to Tellico Lake, Loudon, TN to visit my folks.  The guys stayed Saturday night and I stayed Saturday and Sunday.  Wonderful visit!

Monday, July 28 - I rented a car in Knoxville, TN and drove home. Took a quick break to play 9 holes of disc golf at Natural Bridge State Park, VA - Thistle Ridge Nature Trail Disc Golf Course. I would go back!

Tuesday, July 29 - G had a test at UVA and the results were overall good.  We went out to lunch at Sticks afterwards.

Wednesday, July 30 - W and I toured University of Richmond and The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. Both visit were outstanding.

Thursday, July 31 - Caught up on some things around the house and went paddle boarding.  G and I did some driving practice to the High School and back then he had three buddies over to hang out. 

Friday, August 1 - Today was the last official day of summer break.  I go back to school on Monday. The weather was unusually cool today.  W and I played golf at Lake Monticello.  Afterwards I took Moose for a hike at Pleasant Grove then H and I hung out for the evening and listened to some great records.

This year's summer break was epic.  It's been fun logging everything on the Tilted Ball.  Hope to do it again next summer.
