I had the privilege of being in the audience for this set and the set prior. The Prior first set featured Daniel, Makaya, Jeff Parker and friends performing in the side lot of Saint Vincent Hotel on a large percussion structure. It was unlike anything I've ever witnessed. Makaya and Jeff are super kind and gracious folks. We chatted at the bar for quite a while about International Anthem and the projects they had in the works back in 2023.
The main event was Daniel's set in the courtyard. I found it on YouTube last night thanks to Funk It Blog! I had no idea this set was memorialized with such quality video. I look forward to mining the FunkItBlog for other gems.

The night ended with a New Orleans funk band - I don't recall the name. Here's a shot of their Chief!
